Inspired by the natural beauty of Nantucket and a connection nurtured from summers spent with her grandparents in Madaket, Julie Wood has been gardening on Nantucket since 1995 and established Hither Creek Gardener in 2002. Julie creates serene outdoor spaces in  harmony with Nantucket’s fragile ecosystem. Incorporating dynamic design philosophies with respect for the native environment, and a nod to the historic charm of the island, she creates  a unique oasis for each client.

Julie has collaborated with the Nantucket Land Bank, ReMain Nantucket, and Nantucket Land Council and continues work with the Nantucket Garden Festival as an advisory board member. She is grateful to Nantucket for this extraordinary life in gardens.
